Only a few more months and the definitive Brexit will have marked its one year anniversary. However, before this date, there is still one more important deadline to take into account. Namely, on 30 September 2021, the deadline to claim an EU filing date will expire. After 30 September 2021 applicants for a UK right will no longer be able to claim the filing date of an EU trademark or design application that was still pending on 1 January 2021.
