Maxime Westhof-Jacobs

Maxime is Legal Counsel at IFORI and obtained his Master of European and International Law degree with distinction.

During his studies, he focused on the European development of forward-looking regulations, with an emphasis on technological development of Europe. Maxime is working on, among other things: GDPR, Digital Marketing Act, Digital Services Act, Data Act, Artificial Intelligence Act, … Maxime advises to reach clear agreements about the use of technology, the development of technology and its correct use.

Maxime has practical experience as an auditor and as an inspector at the Federal Public Service Economy. His interests include the legal framework surrounding AI, online video games, e-commerce and influencer marketing.

By working in a public administration and working with other European member states, he understands the functioning of public institutions and speaks Dutch, French and English.
