Jochen Baes

Jochen is an IP legal counsel with a proven experience as Benelux and European Trademark and Design Attorney. He has extensive knowledge of the different aspects of intellectual property with a focus on trademarks and designs.

He obtained a Master’s degree in law from the University of Ghent, followed by a LL.M. in Intellectual Property and Competition law from the University of Liège.

Jochen gained experience in a renowned independent Belgian law firm and was active as an IP attorney for major IP consultancy firms as well as legal counsel at a public administration to create IP awareness and to build an IP strategy internally.

As a result, Jochen possesses an in-depth understanding of the intricacies of public institutions and is fluent in Dutch, Frech and English.
