Justine is a legal counsel with demonstrated experience in IT law. Her primary focus is on privacy and data protection compliance topics. She’s a certified privacy professional (IAPP) and on a daily basis she acts as data protection officer within several private and public organisations across several sectors.
Next to data protection, Justine is highly interested in the aspects of emerging technologies that relate to data protection. Jointly with other members of the team, she wrote an e-learning tool on legal and ethical aspects of AI.
Justine graduated from the UGent and obtained an advanced master in IP and ICT law at the KU Leuven. She gives lectures and trainings, based on her academic knowledge and practical experiences.
As a legal counsel for clients across several sectors, including the environmental, health, e-commerce, gaming and social sector, Justine has developed a thorough knowledge of the issues and interest at stake in those sectors.
Justine works in Dutch, English and French. Her clients describe her as “well-organised, decisive and constructive”. Due to her dedication and through her previous experiences, Justine has acquired insights and organisational skills to lead a project or a team to success.
